What are the types of yoga that would help me reduce my belly fat?


Yoga exercises can be used for weight reduction and there are several yoga postures where great results can be obtained over a period of time. Yoga should be practiced on regular basis and hence when practiced regularly it helps in reduction of the extra deposits of fat in the belly region and the limbs. Along with weight reduction, it also imparts proper shape to the body. It helps in the reduction of stress and strain and provides a feeling of rejuvenation.

Yoga muscles help in providing exercise to the stomach and stomach muscles in the periphery. Various exercises of yoga help to keep the body fit by reducing the weight of the body in the most comfortable and working way. Yoga posture also provides flexibility to the body and also imparts strength.

Free air posture (pavan muktasana) is the asana which helps in the reducing of belly fat considerably. It involves lying flat on the ground and then lifting the legs in the folded position to the chest. This posture helps to provide the desired stretch to the body and the belly region in order to reduce a tummy. This exercise should be taken up for only one leg at a time and alternately it should be followed for other leg too.

Other asana called bhujangasana (cobra posture) involves exercise of both the limbs so that the muscles are stretched appropriately and constant stretch and strain provides reduction in the extra deposits of cholesterol in the body. It also provides stamina to the back and the angular muscles in the side. It also provides releif from the back pain and pain in the lower abdomen and chest.

The breathing exercise of the yoga called pranayam helps in better circulation of oxygen in various organs of the body in order to impart proper functioning of the body. Increased breathing helps to burn the extra cholesterol deposited in various parts of the body and thereby provides better toning to the body and bodily organs.

Bhujangasana (crocodile posture) of yoga wherein the legs are lifted up and provide adequate exercise to the lower organs of the body and reduce the extra cholesterol deposited in these organs.

Padmasana (Lotus Posture) helps to stay in a good concentrating position in order to undertake meditation and other concentration tactics. These exercises of yoga help to provide flexibility to the body along with considerable reduction in the belly fat.
